About me

My call sign is KN4DHZ. Born in Manila and grew up in the mountainous province where the beautiful Mayon Volcano is located. With no electricity, it became my fascination when I arrived at the city at the age of 7. Seeing lights, TV and radio. I was fascinated on how they works. Makati is where my mom and dad first met at the Ligaya Kitchenette. They’re 37 years apart in age. My dad is the youngest child of one of the first American teacher in the Philippines married to a Filipina. My mom was also born Filipina, on her 19 she became pregnant with me. Out of wedlock, she became a single working mom after I was born. Well, my dad has established family already followed by my mom. So before I continue I would like to express my deeper respect and gratitude to each one of them, my brothers and sisters. One time while I was talking to my mom. According to her when she met my dad it was the best thing that happened to her.

When I grew up from high school, around 13 years of age. I started to become more independent. Worked with multiple freelance job. I remember a young couple during prior years and places we lived. They asked me to stay for the night to watch a beautiful soon to be mom. At the door, I felt a very loving presence already. The room is very conducive and so comforting. Next thing I know, I was already in a dream, a real dream in the presence of a very loving entity, a mother, a child, or an individual.

Me, running the 20 km 1990 14th National Milo Marathon Elimination Race in Manila, Philippines. Recorded time on final 42.2km is 2h:52m:55s. Following 2 years 1992 16th National Milo Marathon, I set my personal best time of 2h:39m:27s in a marathon distance. I was working part-time in electrical and electronics at that time while balancing my athletics and studying in electrical engineering at the University of Santo Tomas, Manila.
After almost 3 decades, it was one of the best experience. The support team, volunteer nurses, everyone, the people, the family and children all throughout the race. The surroundings and when I arrived at the finishing chute of the 2019 Miami Marathon. It was a mixture of breathtaking scenery, timeless moment, complete elation and a great feeling of euphoria happening all at the same time at the finish line.
