When my mom was expecting me as her first child, she was only 18 and unwed. The brother of my dad in the US, Uncle Ernest asked my dad to bring her to the US to deliver me and raise. Instead, they name me after him, otherwise I won’t have the story as it is right now. I view it as Divine orchestration to be on track, the course between a very fine lines. I met my dad in Manila when I was 7. They were distance by time and space, 37 years apart and met where the food is prepared. The name itself Ligaya Kitchenette owned by Miss Ligaya was a pleasure for them to meet. According to my mom, when she met my dad, it was the best thing that happened to her.
